Line A runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center, via Stanford Shopping Center, the Medical Center, the Main Quad, Rains Residences, and Escondido Village.

Line A operates Monday through Friday year-round (except campus holidays), 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., every 15 min.

Between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Line A PM Express shuttle serves the Via Ortega and two Medical Center/Hospital stops, terminating at the Palo Alto Transit Center.
Line B Clockwise runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center by way of Town & Country Village, Tresidder, the Medical Center, and Stanford Shopping Center.

Line B-CW operates operates Monday through Friday year-round (except campus holidays), 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., every 15 min.
Line B Counter-Clockwise runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center by way of Stanford Shopping Center, the Medical Center, Tresidder, and Town & Country Village.

Line B-CCW operates Monday through Friday year-round (except campus holidays), 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., every 15 min.

Between 3:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Line B PM Express shuttle increases service frequency to all stops from Serra St. to the Palo Alto Transit Center.
Line C runs to and from the California Avenue Caltrain station with stops at the Stock Farm parking lots, Stanford West Apartments, Classic Residence by Hyatt, the Medical Center and the Main Quad in between.

Line C operates Monday through Friday year-round (except campus holidays) every 30 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Medical Center Loop shuttle makes a clockwise loop around the entire Medical Center complex, serving the stops at Parking Structure 5, the Stock Farm parking lot, 777 Welch Rd., the Falk Center Parking lot, stops on Quarry Road Extension at the Hospital’s emergency entrance and at the School of Medicine, and the intersection of Via Ortega and Campus Drive.

The Medical Center Loop shuttle operates Monday through Friday, from 5:00 am to 1:00 am (the next day), with departures every 7 to 8 minutes during peak commute times (6:30 am to 9:00 am and 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Departures during non-peak times will be every 15 minutes.
The Medical Center to Hillview / VA shuttle runs Monday through Friday year-round (including campus holidays) serving the Medical Center, Hoover Tower, 975 California Ave, 3373 Hillview, and the VA Hospital, every 30 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Medical Center to 1050 Arastradero shuttle runs Monday through Friday serving the Medical Center, 1050 Arastradero, and 3373 Hillview every 30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Midnight Express runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center, with stops around the campus and Downtown Palo Alto.

It operates 7 nights a week during the academic year (Sept-June), every 20 minutes.

The first bus departs the Palo Alto Transit Center at 8:10 p.m. and runs until 1:30 a.m.
The Palm Drive Commuter Express runs to and from the Palo Alto train Station to the campus Oval during the commute times, 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and again from 3:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday with departures every 8 to 9 minutes.

The shuttle stop is located at the old VTA bus stop that is on the same side of the Oval as the Graduate School of Business.
The Stanford Research Park shuttle runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center to the businesses along Page Mill Road, Porter Drive, Hillview Avenue, Arastradero Road, and Deer Creek Road during the commute times, 6:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with departures every 20-40 minutes.
Line S operates weekday mornings 6:31 a.m. to 8:21 a.m. and weekday evenings 3:13 p.m. to 5:10 p.m., year round (except campus holidays). Stops include Stanford West Apartments, Palo Alto Transit Center, SLAC Hotel, SLAC Gate 17, SLAC Building 84, SLAC Fire Station, SLAC Building 41, and Rosewood Hotel.
The Shopping Express operates during the academic year (Sept-June), weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The area of service includes the residential areas of the University, the Medical Center, and the business districts in Mountain View bordered by El Camino Real, San Antonio Rd. and Showers Avenue. Buses run every 45 minutes.
The SLAC shuttle operates Monday through Friday year round (except campus holidays) between SLAC and Hoover Tower by way of the Oak Creek Apartments located on Sand Hill Road, West Campus Residences, and the Science & Engineering Quad, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., every 20 minutes.
The Ardenwood Express shuttle augments the Line U service using a Marguerite shuttle bus. The shuttle originates from the Campus Oval, departing at 3:55 p.m. and 4:55 p.m. Other stops will include Parking Structure 1 at Roth Way, 1101 and 777 Welch Road if necessary. Please note that these two pickups will only go as far as the Ardenwood Park & Ride Lot and will only serve stops if seating is available.

Palm PDA requirements

Before downloading these schedules, you must have the "Trainsched" utility installed on your PDA. This free utility is available at http://trainsched.sourceforge.net.

To view a particular schedule on your PDA:

  • Start the TrainSched application on your PDA.
  • Click the "Drop Down" icon to display the drop down menu.
  • Click on "Database"
  • Click on the shuttle line name to view its schedule.
  • Click "OK"
  • Make sure to select appropriate options from the "Jour", "Depart" and "Arrivee" drop-down lists.

  • Trainsched does not include provisions for showing the system map. This can be downloaded as a PDF and viewed using an appropriate PalmOS viewer utility.
