Instructions For Contesting Parking Citations

Procedure to Appeal Parking Citations at Stanford

All parking citations issued by members of the Stanford Department of Public Safety on Stanford University grounds are issued under the authority of Santa Clara County. The Stanford Department of Public Safety in conjuction with Santa Clara County Office of Paking Violations has implemented an Administrative Review procedure for contesting parking citations in accordance with Assembly bill 408 (effective July 1, 1993)

The Appeal form is in Adobe Acrobat format and it must be downloaded in order to be filled out and submitted.

After completing the form, you may mail it directly to:

When submitting the form either by mail or in person, don't forget to include a photocopy of your citation, a photocopy of your current Stanford parking permit and any supporting documentation.
