4 Stanford now has six Zipcars at four campus locations
Join Zipcar for convenient vehicle rentals and receive $35 in driving credit
Three new Zipcars arrived on campus this month! Stanford now offers a total of six Zipcars at four campus locations: Tresidder Memorial Union, the Wilbur Lot at the corner of Escondido and Campus Drive East, The Oval, and the Lagunita Lot at the corner of Santa Teresa Street and Governor's Avenue.
Zipcar is the world's largest carsharing company, providing 24/7 access, convenient campus locations, and reduced hourly rates for Stanford affiliates starting as low as $8 an hour, which includes gas and insurance. Membership is open to faculty, staff, and students who are at least 18 years of age and meet Zipcar's eligibility requirements.
Stanford affiliates can join as a Zipcar member for $35 per year, with no application fee, and they will receive $35 in driving credit in their first year. Department memberships are available at $100 per department for an unlimited number of drivers (for business use only).

Answer March's Factoid Quiz to enter this month's drawing
Here is this month's Factoid Quiz question: What is the reward for referring a friend to the Commute Club? A) Stanford Bookstore gift card, B) tote bag, C) $50, D) five free one-day parking permits. If you don't know the answer, visit our website to find out: http://transportation.stanford.edu. Submit your answer through our website quiz page at http://transportation.stanford.edu, and you'll be entered in our $20 monthly gift card drawing.
Congratulations to our February winner: Indira Choudhury, Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering, who won a $20 StanfordCardPlan (accepted at Stanford Dining, Stanford Bookstore, and other campus locations). She answered correctly that 48 percent of Stanford University employees said they take alternative transportation instead of driving alone to work in the 2007 commute survey. Thanks to Erinn Knyt, a graduate student in the Department of Music, for submitting this month's quiz question. She also wins a $20 gift card!
Each month, our team at Parking & Transportation Services challenges you with a new quiz question about our office, programs, and services.** Send us your suggestions for our Factoid Quiz question, and if your question is selected, you will win a $20 gift card! Fill out the suggestion form on our website: http://transportation.stanford.edu/quiz/quizQuestion.html. If you have a question that needs an answer, ask us directly at commuteclub@stanford.edu.
* Restrictions apply. Please see full eligibility requirements. Participants must live off campus, be on campus at least 20 hours a week, and work at a site that requires a Stanford parking permit to park (if employee), or be a registered student. Evening- or night-shift employees, and individuals who live on-campus are ineligible for the Commute Club and for the part-time pledge promotion. Commute Club members are ineligible for the part-time pledge promotion. You are eligible to win only one prize per academic year, but you are welcome to complete the quiz each month. On the last weekday of each month, respondents with the correct answer that month will be entered in a prize drawing; the winner, chosen at random, will receive a $20 gift card. If your quiz question is selected, you will receive a $20 gift card.
