Persons with disabilities

We honor any state's disabled person placards in the following parking spaces on campus:

  • designated blue spaces
  • service vehicle spaces (a posted time limit may apply)
  • metered (visitor pay parking) spaces
  • commuter ("A" or "C") and residential permit spaces

Parking for persons with a temporary disability

If you have a temporary disability, you may apply for a temporary “Service Vehicle” courtesy permit from Parking & Transportation Services - NOT VALID IN DISABLED PARKING SPACES! We can issue only one temporary “Service Vehicle” courtesy permit for up to 1 week. If a permit of longer duration is necessary, you'll need to apply to the DMV for a state placard.

DisGo Cart Service

The Disability Golf (DisGo) Cart service is available to all University students, faculty and staff with limited mobility, including those in wheelchairs. The on-campus service operates between 8:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. weekdays starting the second week of Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Arrange a ride by calling the Office of Accessible Education (OAE) by 5 p.m. the day before you need a ride; dial 5-CHUG (725-2484). Leave your name, phone number and a detailed explanation of the ride you need. A DisGo coordinator will call you back to confirm. If you have questions about this service, please call the OAE at 723-1066.
