Parking for Stanford University affiliates with a temporary disability
Stanford University affiliates with a temporary disability may apply for a one-week “Service Vehicle” courtesy permit. These permits are not valid in disabled parking spaces. To apply, please email a completed Temporary Service Vehicle Permit For Temporary Disabilities (PDF) application form to transportation@stanford.edu.Stanford Transportation can only issue one temporary “Service Vehicle” courtesy permit (effective for up to one week) per person per calendar year. If a second "Service Vehicle" courtesy permit is needed within the calendar year, you must submit a second application along with a doctor’s note. “Service Vehicle” permits are valid in ‘Service Vehicle’, ‘Visitor’, commuter ‘A’, ‘C’, and ‘Z’ and residential permit spaces. Please note that posted time limits apply in these spaces. If a permit of longer duration is necessary, please apply to the DMV for a state placard.

Marguerite Shuttle
Wheelchair and Mobility Assistance
All Marguerite shuttles are wheelchair accessible. Please note the driver is responsible for securing passengers. Some buses are equipped with a kneeling feature that lowers the front end so that the first step is easier to reach. If you have difficulty boarding the bus, ask the driver to lower the front end or deploy the lift or ramp. The side-facing seats in the front of the bus and/or the first two forward-facing seats are priority seating for seniors or passengers with disabilities. If you need assistance with securing a seat, please ask the driver.
Visual Impairment Assistance
When boarding, please notify the driver if assistance is needed in identifying a designated stop. Announcements are made at major stops. A limited amount of Braille/tactile maps of some shuttle routes are available. For more information, please contact the Diversity & Access Office at disability.access@stanford.edu or 650.725.0326.
Animals
Animals are prohibited on Marguerite shuttles, except service animals. The service animal must be under the control of its handler, be on a leash that does not interfere with other passengers, and be near their owner’s side without blocking aisles. Stanford is committed to making reasonable modifications to its policies, practices, and procedures to ensure full access to its facilities and activities for individuals with disabilities. To make a request for a reasonable modification or for questions/concerns, contact the Diversity & Access Office at disability.access@stanford.edu or 650.725.0326.
