AC Transit EasyPass
AC Transit's EasyPass is available to eligible university employees, SLAC employees, and postdoctoral scholars who reside in the East Bay. It provides unlimited travel on all AC Transit services, both local and Transbay (including the Dumbarton Express), and is valid for the entire calendar year, seven days a week. Stanford purchased these passes from AC Transit primarily for eligible East Bay residents who commute to Stanford; however, their use is not restricted as long as you reside in AC Transit’s service area.

Please note that if your affiliation has changed or will change, the passes on your Clipper card may be deactivated. Please contact commuteclub@stanford.edu to check the status of the passes on your Clipper card and whether you need to take any additional action.
First time using the EasyPass
It may take 9 to 12 business days for the EasyPass to be loaded to your Clipper card. We recommend the following if you are using the EasyPass for the first time:
- Add Clipper Cash to your Clipper card if your pass does not work for any reason.
- Check transaction history under Clipper's My Account Page after you log into your Clipper card account to see if the EasyPass has been loaded to the Product column and that there is no charge for that ride in the Debit column.
- If you are being charged for riding the Dumbarton Express, please contact us at commuteclub@stanford.edu or 650.736.9923.
If you have questions about your eligibility, please contact us at commuteclub@stanford.edu or 650.736.9923.
