SRWC Commuters How to Order the SamTrans Pass

Employees assigned to Stanford Redwood City only use the Edenred Commuter Benefits Portal to request your SamTrans Pass. Follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Before Ordering

Update your address

Update your address in StanfordYou to your current, Stanford Redwood City address. Note that it takes up to three business days for those changes to take effect, so make sure to update your address at least three business days before trying to order the SamTrans pass.

Only employees at the following four addresses are eligible:

  1. Cardinal Hall, 505 Broadway, Redwood City
  2. University Hall, 485 Broadway, Redwood City
  3. Discovery Hall, 455 Broadway, Redwood City
  4. Academy Hall, 415 Broadway, Redwood City

How to Order

1. Log in via Single-Sign On using this URL

If you experienced an error logging in, confirm that your address in StanfordYou has been updated to your current, Stanford Redwood City address. Note that it takes three days for those changes to take effect. If you are still experience login issues after confirming your address and three days have passed, please contact us at transportation@stanford.edu, and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

2. Select “Place an Order”

3. Select "Bus”

4. Enter your home ZIP Code and work ZIP Code (94063)

5. Click the “Select” button on the SamTrans Adult Local Monthly Pass

Please Note: If the pass does not appear on the list of options, type "SamTrans" into the search bar and press enter

6. Enter your Clipper Account Number. Important! We are not liable for mis-entered numbers.

7.  [Optional] Your order will be recurring unless you indicate otherwise. 

If you only need the pass for specific months, change ‘Are there any months you do not need this order’ to ‘Yes’ and select the months accordingly.

8. Confirm your order and click “Proceed” to Checkout

9. The cost may still appear at this step even when the subsidy is applied. Review your order one more time, agree to the terms of service, and click “Place Order”.

10. Read the reminders, then click “My Dashboard” to go back to the home page.

11. On the Dashboard, you should see the SamTrans Adult Local Monthly Pass item. 

Because of the subsidy, the cost of the pass will not appear as part of the Order Total. Otherwise, contact transportation@stanford.edu. Read, agree to the terms and select “Place Order.”

Other Reminders

  1. If you placed any other pending or ongoing orders through the Edenred Portal, confirm that they have been transferred.
  2. If you do not see the order on your account, re-order the product(s).
