Check your eligibility

Please confirm that you are eligible prior to requesting the pass. Check in advance with P&TS if you are otherwise eligible but one of the following circumstances applies to you:

  • You are currently or were recently on a leave of absence. In order to be eligible, the HR database must reflect that you are an active employee or student.
  • Your residence address is outside typical commuting range of Stanford’s main campus.

Make sure your address is updated

To be eligible, your address must contain an eligible ZIP Code outside Stanford property and within a reasonable daily commuting distance. Please make sure your address is updated in the appropriate database 24 to 48 hours before requesting your 2017 Go Pass.

  • University employees: StanfordYou
  • Stanford Health Care employees: eConnect
  • Stanford Children's Health employees: Access HR
  • Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars: Axess (Note: we are only able to accept the “Stanford (local)” or “SEVIS (US)” addresses. Please refer to our page on updating your address for more information)

Go Passes must be requested in person and are non-transferable

To be valid, the Go Pass must be picked up in person by the eligible Stanford employee or student and affixed to his or her own Stanford ID (university ID or hospital badge). The pass will not be issued to individuals bringing another employee’s or student’s ID card or badge.

The Go Pass may not be transferred to another person. Fraudulent use or transfer of the pass will result in confiscation, substantial fines, and revocation of the transit pass and other privileges.
