June 15 is your last chance to request retroactive enrollment in Stanford’s Commute Club. After the deadline, retroactive enrollment will no longer be available due to a database upgrade.

You will still be able to join the Commute Club after June 15, but if you forgot to enroll or didn’t realize you weren’t enrolled for previous months in 2017-18, you will no longer be able to enroll retroactively after the June 15 deadline. Please note that we cannot offer retroactive enrollment for prior fiscal years (August 2017 or earlier).

What do you need to do?

  • Check your enrollment. If you are not sure whether you are a Commute Club member for 2017-18, please visit My Commute Club to check your membership status.
  • Enroll and request retroactive membership by June 15. If you find you have not been enrolled and want to receive retroactive enrollment for any months from September 2017 through August 2018, please do the following:
    • Enroll in the Commute Club online. You will only be allowed to enroll from the current qualifying month onward.
    • Once you are a member, request any additional months you were eligible to be a member since September 2017 by sending an email to commuteclub@stanford.edu. If you can’t enroll online, submit an application form (PDF) to request all eligible months by email to commuteclub@stanford.edu or fax to 650.724.8676.

Why is this changing?

Our office is replacing our current customer database. The new system does not support retroactive enrollment.

It will, however, enable Commute Club memberships to renew automatically. The good news is that this means once the new system is in place, you will no longer have to enroll in the Commute Club each academic year. Your membership will remain active until you become ineligible or choose to leave the Commute Club.
