As more than 2,400 Stanford employees and departments move to their new offices at Stanford Redwood City (SRWC), what if you need to meet with someone who is at a different campus?

The first choice, which is strongly recommended by university leadership, is telepresence (e.g., Zoom, Jabber, Slack). With that said, the university recognizes that there may be times when main campus employees must visit Stanford Redwood City for business or personal reasons.

Here are some things to keep in mind when traveling to Stanford Redwood City:

  • Virtual parking permits at both campuses. SRWC uses the same virtual parking permit system as the main campus.

  • Main campus ‘A’ or ‘C’ permits valid in ‘C-SRWC’ spaces. If you drive your personal vehicle to SRWC and you already have a main campus ‘A’ or ‘C’ permit, you can park in any ‘C-SRWC’ space.

  • Another option is to purchase a daily ‘C’ permit or visitor parking at SRWC. If you are using a personal vehicle or a Zipcar and don’t have a permit, you can:

  • Department vehicles or Zipcars can also be used to visit SRWC. Stanford affiliates receive Zipcar discounts when registered with their Stanford email address, and departments can set up free department Zipcar accounts and charge business Zipcar use to a department PCard.

  • Parking is currently available at Barron Garage (address: 2855 Bay Road). Additional surface lots expected to open in late May. Refer to our SRWC Parking Map.
