Commuter Parking

Main content start

Stanford employees, students, and affiliates can adopt a sustainable commute and save money through our award-winning commuter programs or purchase daily or long-term parking to suit your schedule. Consider biking, transit, walking, carpooling, or vanpooling to reduce the financial and environmental costs of driving alone and avoid parking hassles.

All Stanford-affiliated commuters can choose between a more affordable 'C' permit, which is in higher demand and farther from buildings and the center of campus, or a higher-cost 'A' permit that offers closer proximity and greater flexibility for arrival and mobility.

Commuter students (non-first-year) who are actively enrolled in classes are eligible to purchase commuter permits but do not qualify for residential permits.

Please note that all Stanford affiliates are limited to one parking permit at a time, and only one vehicle may be parked on campus per permit.

Purchase Commuter Parking

Stanford affiliates can purchase commuter parking using the Parking Permit Management System. Log in, click 'Purchase Permits', and follow the prompts. For additional support, refer to the FAQs and the "How-to guides" for step-by-step tutorials.
