Resident Student Parking

Resident students who intend to keep a vehicle on campus must purchase a 'RES' parking permit in their designated area. Resident parking is divided into the following areas: West, South, East, SJ, and Escondido Village. First-year (Frosh) students cannot bring cars to campus during their first year (Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters).

Purchase Residential Parking

Stanford affiliates can purchase commuter parking using the Parking Permit Management System. Log in, click 'Purchase Permits', and follow the prompts. For additional support, refer to the FAQs and the "How-to guides" for step-by-step tutorials.

First-Year (Frosh) Parking Policy

Stanford undergraduate first-year students (frosh) are not permitted to bring cars to campus for the duration of their first year: Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters.
