Start Using the Scoop Carpool App
Stanford's Scoop subsidy for eligible riders and drivers is currently available, but will end on Dec. 29, 2020. While commuters can continue to use the carpooling app after that date, the Stanford subsidy will no longer be available.
SRWC commuters receive Stanford’s subsidized incentives when they use Scoop.
The Scoop app facilitates flexible carpools, so you can request a carpool by 9 p.m. the evening before and be matched for the next morning’s commute. This means you have flexibility to carpool on a day-by-day or even trip-by-trip basis whenever it works for you. It also means there’s no need to commit to an ongoing carpool.
With the Scoop incentive, drivers receive as much as $12 per trip--or more with each additional rider. Riders pay as little as $1 per trip. One commuter says she receives around $100 per week as a Scoop driver. Consider using Scoop to carpool on days it works for you, and you could offset the cost of your parking permit.
If you have any questions, feedback, or need help, you can contact Scoop's Support Team through the app, by email, or phone at 415.942.9122 [flyer].
