How to the Request the Caltrain Go Pass on the Clipper Card
Step 1: Obtain a Clipper Card
There are a number of ways to get a Clipper card:
- Online on the Clipper website
- Visit a retail location such as Walgreen's or Whole Foods, or
- Obtain one from a transit agency.
- Stanford Parking & Transportation Services issues Clipper Cards to some new employees and upon request for eligible customers
If you are only eligible for the Caltrain Go Pass: Any valid adult fare Clipper Card can be used. Please note that the Go Pass cannot be loaded on Senior, Youth, or RTC/ Disabled cards.
If you are eligible for both the Go Pass and Eco Pass: We recommend that you load your Go Pass onto your Eco Pass Clipper card to avoid the need to have two cards. Please note that passes cannot be transferred between Clipper cards. Passes must be deactivated in order to activate them on a different Clipper card.

Step 2: Request that the Caltrain Go Pass be added to your Clipper Card
Eligible Stanford affiliates should complete the 2018 Go Pass request form to request a Go Pass for 2018.
Step 3: Activate Your Go Pass
To activate the Go Pass on your Clipper card, you must tag on at a Clipper card reader at a Caltrain station.
