If biking + Caltrain is part of your commute, you may be interested to know that Caltrain has been expanding bike eLockers at their stations. They now offer more than 300 bike eLockers at 19 Caltrain stations. Best of all, to encourage eLocker use, riders can now get 100 hours of free eLocker credit.

How do I get my free 100 hours?

Take advantage of this offer by following these easy steps:

  1. Sign up for a BikeLink account.

  2. Choose whether to add BikeLink to your Clipper card or purchase a BikeLink card:

    1. Link your BikeLink account with your Clipper Card with a $5 minimum load. Please note that Clipper Cards are not accepted at all locations.

    2. Or purchase a BikeLink card.

  3. The first time you use your Clipper Card to start a rental at any Caltrain-owned eLocker, $5 (the equivalent to 100 FREE hours) will be automatically added to your BikeLink account. The hours will not expire. Caltrain informed us that there is no end date to this promotion at this time.

In the past, Caltrain rented bike lockers with keys. With the new eLockers, you will use your Clipper card instead of a key.

Once you have used your free hours, you can continue to access the lockers by using a pre-paid Clipper Card or BikeLink card. Regular rates are five cents per hour and discounted rates are offered for nights and weekends at two cents per hour.
