Thanks to all who particpated in our My Marvelous Morning Commute contest. Congrats to our winners Margaret Hughes, Aparna Sharma, and Kitty Lee. We combined all of the entrants' creative answers to make one crowdsourced version:

My Marvelous Morning Commute

I was ready to mix up my morning routine so I called Stanford Transportation for a One-on-One Commute Consultation. The customer service rep told me that if I rode Caltrain, I could reduce my greenhouse gas emissions by a TRILLION %.

The following morning I ate my morning meal of LOBSTER ICE CREAM and rushed out the door. First, I rode my bike to the Caltrain station. When the train arrived I tagged on using my Clipper card.

We all SPELUNKED onto the train. I got stuck next to someone who talked SALTILY on their phone the entire ride. Luckily I slipped in my earbuds and listened to NICKELBACK. Before I knew it, we'd arrived at the Palo Alto Transit Center.

I got off and when the Marguerite arrived, I attached my bike to the rack. Off we went toward campus. I never expected to see SIGOURNEY WEAVER riding the Marg but there she was wearing a pair of dark BAGUETTES. We zoomed past The Oval, Hoover Tower and through campus where a group of ANTHROPOLOGY students jumped around in the Memorial Auditorium fountain, only it was filled with SOUP.

When I realized I'd gotten fresh air, a free commute, and a great workout, I felt JOLLY. Thanks to the university's commitment to sustainability, it felt great to leave my DELOREAN at home. Can't wait to ride my MAGIC CARPET next time.
