Now Live! New Parking Permit Management System
Stanford Transportation has launched a new, streamlined system to purchase parking permits at Stanford. Discover more about parking.stanford.edu.
Department/Vendor/Contractor Permit Overview
Departments can buy daily permits via Stanford Transportation’s Parking Permit Management System. Departments should designate two or more department contacts to manage department parking permits through our online form. Refer to "Departments" on our "How To" page for more information.
More information can be found on the Deparments Parking Permits webpage.
Vendor parking is available to businesses that have contracts or agreements with the university to provide services or goods for a specific period. This includes banks, janitorial, food service businesses, consultants, and auditors. Vendors have two options for purchasing their permits.
Option 1: Purchase a Service Vehicle Daily permit
To purchase an 'SV' Daily permit, vendors or contractors will need to log in to your company account and purchase an 'SV' daily. Note: if you do not already have an established account, you must create a visitor account.
Option 2: Purchase an 'A-Business' permit
First, please have your Stanford sponsoring department complete the Vendor Sponsorship Form. Refer to our "How To" page for more information.
Then the contact fills out Department/Vendor Permit Order Form. If the department is paying for the vendor's permit, the department should complete the permit order form. If the vendor is paying for the permit, the vendor should complete it.
Please designate two or more contacts to manage the parking permits. It will take one to three business days to receive a decision from Stanford Transportation. Once Stanford Transportation has approved your request, you will be contacted for the next steps.
If purchasing visitor parking, please do so through the ParkMobile app.
Note: To purchase another permit, please fill out the Vendor Parking Permit Application.
Deliveries: If the company is making deliveries and has a commercial license plate, the delivery driver may park in loading and unloading zones for up to 20 minutes, or as marked.
To purchase a parking permit, Other Affiliates can be sponsored in two ways:
- Request to be sponsored by a department supervisor or manager for a SUNet ID (valid for one year).
- Please note: Once access has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the requestor. This typically occurs within 1-2 business days. .
- Request Access to Purchase Permits referencing "How to Create a New Account in the Parking Permit Management System" step-by-step instructions.
- Please note: Once access has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the requestor. This typically occurs within 1-2 business days.
Commuters must pay for their own parking permit, if applicable
- Please note that using a company credit/debit card is prohibited.
Permit types and payment options
- Sponsored commuters affiliated with the university have the option to purchase an 'A' or 'C' permit.
- Sponsored commuters affiliated with the hospitals have the option to purchase a 'Z' permit.
