Free Transit and Commuter Benefits at SRWC

Transit Programs
Caltrain Go Pass
The Go Pass allows unlimited travel on Caltrain between all zones. It is available FREE for eligible university employees commuting to Stanford Redwood City.

Commute.org/Marguerite Shuttles
The Marguerite and Commute.org shuttles is available during weekdays and serves Redwood City Transit Center and Stanford Redwood City. Learn more by visiting SRWC Shuttle Schedules.
VTA SmartPass
Eligible SRWC employees enjoy free transit on VTA (Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority), which enables them to travel on VTA buses and light rail.

AC Transit EasyPass
Eligible SRWC employees residing in the East Bay enjoy free transit on AC Transit, which enables them to travel on AC Transit bus lines, including the Dumbarton Express.

SamTrans Pass
Employees at SRWC can request a free SamTrans pass. The pass allows riders unlimited travel on buses that serve San Mateo County, including service to Caltrain’s Redwood City station.

Pre-Tax Commuter Benefits
Employees can use pre-tax dollars to purchase transit passes, transit parking, Clipper cash, and commuter checks, which can provide a tax savings of up to 40 percent. Check out the Pre-Tax Commuter Transit Benefits page to learn more about the program.
Free and Discounted Transportation Programs for Eligible Commuters

Zipcar discount. Join Zipcar for only $15, with no application fee (saving $10 off the normal $25 annual fee for the first year). Zipcar offers discounted rates and membership fees for Stanford affiliates.
- Stanford departments can set up a department Zipcar account for free. If you use Zipcar for Stanford business purposes, the department account can be charged through a PCard.

Free Emergency Ride Home program. Any Stanford commuter who uses alternative transportation may enroll in Stanford’s Emergency Ride Home program. Commute Club members are automatically enrolled.

Free commute planning. We can provide a custom commute plan from your front door to Stanford Redwood City, or try our do-it-yourself planning option.
