Yes.
If you do not have a current Stanford parking permit, you will need to purchase a ‘C-SRWC’ permit to park at SRWC.
If you have a current main campus parking permit, you may use your permit through the end of your move-in month and purchase a ‘C-SRWC’ permit for subsequent months or years, as needed.
For more information on SRWC permits, please refer to our Parking at SRWC or Learn About SRWC Carpool/Vanpool Parking Permits pages.
SRWC commuter parking is available at:
Please note: Do not turn left from Bay Road to enter the garage. If you are approaching the garage from the west on Bay Road, please turn left on Barron Avenue and use the Barron entrance. When exiting the garage, if you need to turn left (east), please exit on Barron Avenue, since left turns should not be made from the Bay Road exit. For more information, please refer to our parking entrances and exits map.
It's important for Stanford to be a good neighbor to surrounding communities, hospital colleagues, and patients. Because of this, the University does not support or condone parking off-campus in nearby neighborhoods or the Stanford Health Care clinic parking, as it negatively impacts these communities and individuals.
The gates to the Barron Garage are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. SRWC employees can access the garage at all times using their Stanford ID.
We expect SRWC parking permits to be available at least one week in advance of employee move-in dates. SRWC commuters will be able to order daily or long-term virtual parking permits through our Parking Management System, either in advance or in real-time on the day the permit is needed. We have a "How To" guide if you would like step-by-step instructions. Please keep in mind that virtual permits can be instantly available, so purchasing months in advance is not necessary or advisable, since your plans may change.
The shuttle stop for both the Commute.org and Marguerite shuttles is located on Winslow Street, near the Box building at the southeast end of the northbound platform [map].
The Commute.org shuttle (peak hours) stops at Broadway and Douglas (drop off only), Cardinal Hall (505 Broadway), and the Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center (on Broadway near Building D).
The Marguerite Line RWC (midday) stops at Cardinal Hall (505 Broadway). A second stop, Discovery Hall (on Barron Avenue), is set to open in late April.
There are three secure bike cages/rooms available at the Stanford Redwood City campus for SRWC employees. Two of these facilities are open currently:
Recreation and Wellness Center, Room B140: located on Warrington Avenue, south of the Recreation and Wellness Center entrance.
ECH/A2 building: located on Barron Avenue across from the Pine Cone Children's Center
Please note: The bike cage located on the ground floor of Barron Garage (address: 2855 Bay Road, Redwood City) is currently closed for security upgrades.
For the initial move-in phase, March through July, there will be a pilot "no fee" program for bike cage/room access, and the program will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. During this time, your Stanford ID should give you automatic badge access to the bike cage in conjunction with your move-in date.
